Click on the graphic to watch Our classrooms are located at the range, so there's no driving between range and classroom. Because we're an indoor range, there's no need to trudge through mud or bake in the hot Texas sun while testing.
Our ranges and classrooms are clean, air conditioned and well lighted, so your training and testing experience will be as comfortable as possible. Our instructors are experienced and engaging Sheriff's Deputies, with combined law enforcement experience in excess of 30 years. CLICK HERE to Schedule a Class You'll need to bring your weapon (minimum .32 caliber, Please be aware the Texas CHL class does not teach you to shoot. This is a proficiency test, only. If you're unsure of your shooting abilities, we suggest that you call us about scheduling a private Basic Handgun lesson. Please review the Texas CHL Eligibility Requirements before registering. We'll give you an hour for lunch, and you'll have several short breaks during the day. Coffee and soft drinks are available at the range. The class is a full 10 hours, as required by DPS, one day course. The proficiency test is a test, not training. You will be expected to be able to safely and accurately operate your weapon.
